About HAUS Web Design (HWD)

House Web Design (HWD) is the web development division of 2D-enterprises / HAUS Design, LLC.

Why HAUS Web Design?

When Mr. H was in college (Iowa State University), he was first studying Architecture. In a History of Architecture class. taken during his freshman semester, a professor was teaching about various styles of architecture through the ages. One of the styles that htis professor spent a lot of time covering was a style influenced by the Bauhaus School, originally founded by Walter Gropius in Weimar.

Although the Bauhaus influenced architecture, graphic design, interior design, industrial design and typography, the only "influence" if you will, that came from the design school, was the name, HAUS Design.

Back in 1992 Mr. H had a dream of starting his own Graphic Design firm, but at the time, did not pursue the venture. other than to give his business a name, 2D-enterprises / HAUS Design. It was the next year, 1993 when Mr. H purchased his first computer, an Acer 486SX 25.

On that computer, came the first logo design for the company. It was created in the only graphics program the company had at the time, Microsoft Paint.

Mr. H has been designing websites as a hobby since 1996, while working as a Systems Analyst / Application Developer for a communications company in Minneapolis, MN.
